ONLINE LABOR PHOTO GALLERY UPDATED: The Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO’s online photo gallery has been updated and is just a click away! View hundreds of archived photos from previous Metro Council events dating back to 2008, including Bowling for Gold and Golf tournaments, Evening With Labor, Labor Night at the Nats and July's labor reception for DC Mayoral Candidate Vince Gray. Simply click on the photo gallery link under the “DC Labor News Archives” tab on the Metro Council’s website to view slideshows and download photos.

HOTEL WORKERS BRING FIGHT TO BANK OF AMERICA: When the boss sneezes, it's the workers who catch the cold. With mega-hotel owners Columbia Sussex preparing to default on over a billion dollars in loans from Bank of America, local hotel workers --joined by AFL-CIO Executive Vice President Arlene Holt-Baker, UNITE HERE, DC Jobs with Justice and other labor allies -- will rally outside the bank's DC office at 5P tomorrow to demand that union contracts and jobs be protected.
